Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Reviews and prioritizes Request for Qualification (RFQ) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) requirements to develop comprehensive, compliant proposal outlines and as well as finished proposals.
  • Collaborates with the Business Development Manager in the review, selection, completion and submission of all RFQ/RFPs.
  • Coordinates with external marketing team to provide firm with needed brand development, design assistance, photos and video as needed to support RFQ, RFP and short list presentations.
  • This position will be developing a full team that they will lead that will select and hire a team including at a minimum, an experienced graphic designer/document designer as well as another, more junior writer.
  • Meets proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; entering and monitoring tracking data; coordinating requirements with contributors; contributing proposal status information to review meetings; transmitting proposals.
  • Maintains strict attention to detail and proactively manages deadlines throughout the proposal development process.
  • Collaborates with Business Development Manager to brainstorm strategy and approach and ensure decisions are captured in proposal outlines, templates, and other documentation.
  • Performs a comparison analysis between RFP and amendments and updates proposal documentation with revised requirements and strategy as necessary.
  • Leads development of assigned proposal sections, to include:
  • Knowledge of construction management and design/build processes, work accomplishment, and industry best practices to assist with development of a concept of operations to meet an RFP requirement.
  • Ability to create new content to appropriately respond to RFP requirements for specific projects.
  • Able to create sample job plans, standard operating procedures, and other material to meet RFP requirements.
  • Conceptualize graphics (workflows, process diagrams, highlights, schedules, etc.) to be created by graphics experts.
  • Reviewing graphics to ensure they provide correct, relevant emphasis to narrative points.
  • Understanding of work management processes and tools, and ability to create content describing them.
  • Developing templates and other proposal management documentation as appropriate to complete assigned tasks.
  • Writing and editing original text, tailoring boilerplate, and rewriting thirdparty contributions to fulfill RFP requirements, with attention to crafting narrative that is compliant with requirements, inclusive of strategy, compelling to the reader, and meets Revolution Industrial standards.
  • Performing detailed compliance analysis between RFP and amended requirements and proposal narratives written by other authors and providing feedback to ensure a compliant final product.
  • Copy editing for grammar, spelling, factual accuracy, clarity, and Revolution Industrial standards.
  • Ensure that all calculations and numbers indicated in the proposal agree throughout the narrative to include graphics callouts.
  • Formatting documents in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher, and Adobe InDesign, Procore and Acrobat according to RFP requirements and Revolution Industrial standards.
  • Creative ability to understand and discuss the optimal use of professional photography to support the written content.
  • Maintaining organized files and drafts of work in appropriate locations and according to RI standards.
  • Develops the review team evaluation package, analyzing suggested review changes, and leading all review team changes in assigned proposal sections.
