Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician to join our team. As an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Perform auto body repairs and restoration on damaged vehicles
- Assess and diagnose vehicle damage and determine the appropriate repair methods
- Repair or replace damaged body parts, including panels, fenders, doors, and bumpers
- Straighten bent frames and unibody structures
- Remove dents, scratches, and other imperfections from vehicle surfaces
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, priming, and masking
- Mix paint colors to match vehicle specifications
- Blend paint to achieve seamless finishes
- Assemble and install repaired or replaced parts
- Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functionality and performance
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems
- Proficiency in auto painting techniques and color matching
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients regarding repairs and timelines
- Ability to solder and fabricate metal as needed for repairs
- Familiarity with power tools and equipment used in auto body repair
- Experience working in a dealership or collision repair center is preferred
- Knowledge of auto estimating software is a plus
