- Current AL Registered Nurse license
- ACLS preferred
- BCLS required
- a minimum 6 months of dialysis experience required
- Acute dialysis experience preferred.
- Provides dialysis treatments for all renal patients and coordinates care with primary nurse and ancillary departments.
- Assists the nephrologist with ordered dialysis procedures.
- Performs the hemodialysis treatment maintaining established standards for nursing practice in a clinical setting.
- Ensuring that dialysis machines are set up correctly.
- Monitoring patients during dialysis in order to report any changes to the rest of the medical team.
- Examining and recording before, during, and after dialysis therapy, patients vitals.
- Assuring that patients receive proper hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatments.
- Detecting any adverse effects during dialysis treatment, patients are monitored.
- Collaborating with doctors.
- Educating patients on their conditions.
