The German Cancer Research Center is the largest biomedical research center in Germany. With over 3,000 employees, we conduct an extensive scientific program in the field of cancer research.

The German Cancer Research Center is currently seeking an Assistant (m/f/d) for the Patient Experts Academy PEAK at the NCT (Campus Essen of the NCT West) to start as soon as possible.

The National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) is a long-term collaboration between the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), excellent partners in university medicine, and other outstanding research partners at six locations in Germany. The goal of the NCT is to quickly and safely translate promising results from cancer research into clinical practice. This is being achieved through the expansion of the NCT, which will now have four new locations in addition to Heidelberg and Dresden: Berlin, SouthWest (Tübingen/Stuttgart-Ulm), WERA (Würzburg with partners Erlangen, Regensburg, and Augsburg), and West (Essen/Cologne).

An integral part and important success factor of the expanded NCT is the early involvement of patient expertise in clinical research. Patient representatives should actively participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of research projects, so that research results can be more patient-oriented and implemented faster in practice.
