Finance Business Partner Assistant Vice President

As a Barclays Finance Business Partner Assistant Vice President, you will be responsible for managing the financial analysis for several key partners in our Travel and Affinity Portfolios supporting the Business Management team providing financial knowledge and insights to drive the most effective strategy, maximizing growth and returns to exceed the goals of the company.

The role requires both high analytical and presentation skills and has high visibility within the Finance and Business Segment Management organizations.

What will you be doing?

  • Understanding financial results and P&L drivers, metrics and trends to build accurate partner/segment forecasts
  • Analysing of partnership performance comparing actuals vs. forecast to identify opportunities and risks for the business
  • Preparing Management Information packages to effectively communicate these results and insights to Senior Management
  • Building scenarios around products and initiatives; partner renewals and renegotiations, value proposition optimization, new partnerships, and relationship restructuring
  • Producing Quarterly Forecasts and ongoing Outlooks to guide the business understanding expected performance and drivers
  • Building a collaborative environment and maintaining effective communication channels within the different business and supporting teams to increase participation
  • Interacting directly with external partners as necessary and supporting shortterm and longterm initiatives (tracking, validation, and analytics)
  • Working closely with the Finance Corporate Planning team to ensure timely inputs into process, ranging from weekly O&R updates to corporate level forecasts

What we're looking for?

  • Five plus years of experience in Credit Card or Financial Industry. Bachelor's degree minimum and Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are critical
  • Analytical, technical, and statistical skills with proven ability to process data into meaningful information
  • Proactive, dedicated selfstarter who has the courage to ask questions and challenge the status quo

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Degree in Finance or Quantitative discipline preferred
  • Master's degree/MBA preferred
  • SmartView/Essbase, SQL, Alteryx experience a plus
