Description
We are currently looking for a skilled cardiac anesthesiologist to join the team at Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, Maine. Our focus is on delivering top-notch patient care and creating a supportive work environment.
Join our team of cardiac fellowship trained anesthesiologists collaborating with cardiothoracic surgeons. You'll handle a variety of cases including bypasses, valve repair, aortic aneurysm repair, TAVRs, and thoracic cases like robotic VATS. Cardiac call duty happens on a pager rotation typically once a week.
When not handling cardiothoracic cases, you'll assist in the general ORs with 6 general anesthesiologists and 18 certified registered nurse anesthetists. Surgeries range from orthopedics to vascular, plastics, gynecology, urology, and ENT. No neurosurgery. You must have strong regional skills. Additionally, you'll support the labor and delivery floor with about 800 deliveries annually.
Our operating hours are from 7AM to 4:30PM. Weeknight calls are 3pm-7am, and weekend calls are 24H. Cardiothoracic anesthesiologists usually cover one call per month.
