- A valid NJDOE School Nurse Certificate #3000 or
- Hold a valid, current New Jersey RN License; if an RN is eligible for an Emergency Certification, the candidate must provide documented proof of enrollment in a qualified program to obtain the required courses necessary for the issuance of a Standard School Nurse-Non Instructional Certificate within 3 years from date of hire.
- Hold a current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Hold and maintain a valid driver's license with no serious violations
- Hold a Child Care Health Consultant Certification, preferred
- Ten (10) month position
- Salary, benefits and leave time as specified in the Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Reports to the Director of Special Services and Building Principal

Nature And Scope Of Job:
The School Nurse will serve as the primary advocate for the health and well being of students and staff within the school.
Responsibilities include health screening and services, emergency first aid, the care of those who are ill and/or injured while in the school, maintenance of health records, and instruction in sound health practices.
