The Central Building Management Office in Goldsboro, MD is currently seeking to fill the following position on an indefinite basis:
School Caretaker for the City of Hennef (m/f/d)

(Pay grade 7 TVöD, 46.75 hours per week, part-time possible)

The city of Hennef - with approximately 49,000 inhabitants - is known for its high quality of living.


Your responsibilities

  • Ensuring continuous order, cleanliness, and safety in the school building and on the school grounds
  • Maintenance of buildings and facilities
  • Conducting repairs on buildings and furnishings
  • Monitoring and supervising cleaning services
  • Preparing facilities for school and extracurricular events
  • Supervising school and extracurricular events
  • Maintaining outdoor areas
  • Winter service

Your qualifications

  • Completed training in a trade profession
  • Knowledge of computercontrolled building management systems is advantageous
  • Enthusiasm and ability to communicate effectively
  • Teamwork and willingness to cooperate with different groups of people
  • Willingness to work beyond regular working hours and on weekends, if necessary (e.g. in case of severe weather warnings, breakins or vandalism, school events, etc.)
  • High level of resilience and manual dexterity beyond the learned profession
  • Initiative, joy, and creativity in handling daily tasks
  • Driver's license class B
