The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany.

Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

We are currently seeking candidates for a 3-year apprenticeship as a Track Builder / Civil Engineering Specialist (m/f/d) at our location in Schwalmstadt, starting on September 1st, 2024.

The vocational school is located in Frankfurt for the first year and in Ludwigshafen for the following years. The training workshop is also located in Ludwigshafen.

What to expect during your apprenticeship:
You will work with your team on construction sites, maintaining and repairing our railway tracks.

Together, you will inspect the tracks for any defects and replace damaged parts.

You will also be responsible for renewing the stones and gravel layers under the tracks, using modern machinery to make the work easier.

Your attention to detail will ensure a smooth and safe train ride for passengers by maintaining precise measurements.

After completing your apprenticeship, you will be an essential part of the team, ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of passengers every day.

Your profile:
You have (or will soon have) successfully completed your education.

You prefer working outdoors rather than in an office setting.

You are dedicated and reliable.

You enjoy working in a team and are willing to lend a hand.
