    Description

    ***THIS IS A 3rd SHIFT POSITION***

    Role Overview:

    Critical role responsible for assessing and maintaining the quality of raw materials and final products.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Collect samples from different production phases for analysis
    • Conduct quality tests on raw materials and finished products
    • Record and report test results
    • Inspect equipment, products, and packaging for quality standards
    • Collaborate with production team to address packaging issues
    • Approve product holds when necessary
    • Prepare analysis documents in the absence of QA manager
    • Analyze competitors' product compositions
    • Create product samples for potential customers
    • Adjust raw materials or products that do not meet specifications
    • Maintain detailed product records
    • Assist in product formulation decisions
    • Perform specialized product testing as required
    • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the laboratory
    • Coordinate with regulatory inspectors when needed
    • Ensure adherence to quality standards
    • Train other quality control staff
    • Handle HACCP documentation in the absence of QC manager
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or relevant field
    • Proficiency in English language (verbal and written)
    • 1 – 3 years of experience in fats/oils industry
    • Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Understanding of HACCP, SSO, GMP, AOCS, and GLP
    • Ability to occasionally lift items up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks
    • Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods
