    Description

    Actalent is looking for a Pharmacy Technician in Washington, DC

    • Support Pharmacist in preparing and distributing medications
    • Execute technical functions to aid pharmacy operations
    • Prepare various medications under Pharmacist supervision
    • Enter physician orders into the system
    • Assist patients, nurses, and physicians with medication requests
    • Monitor inventory levels and medication expiration dates
    • Conduct regular inspections of patient care areas
    • Prepare IV admixtures and deliver medications
    • Handle controlled substances inventory

    Key Skills: Chemotherapy, compounding, pharmacy, Oncology

    Requirements:

    • 1 year of hospital experience required
    • 1 year of Oncology/Chemo experience required
    • DC Department of Health registration necessary
    • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or equivalent certification
    • Proficiency in medical terminology, basic mathematics, and keyboard skills

    Experience Level: Intermediate
