If that is you, then look no further Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan & Ulster has a full time Driver/Case Aide position within our Orange County Housing Resource Center.
Summary:
This position provides direct case management services to the needy and disenfranchised through advocacy, information and referral, crisis intervention services, and short-term case management.
The position will also have a role in the reception area answering telephones and processing consumers entering the HRC for information and or services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintains current and accurate documentation of services provided to clients.
- Provides short-term case management focusing on assessing factors precipitating housing crisis.
- Assist in preventive measures to reduce risk of eviction in the immediate future.
- Places homeless consumers in housing.
- Maintains HMIS Database for consumers served through HRC.
- Answers telephones and provides information needed.
- Participates in regular supervisory sessions with immediate supervisor.
- Attends Agency's in-service training.
- Completes daily, weekly, and monthly statistical reports as required (As Needed).
- Develops and maintains good communication with other programs and departments within the organization to facilitate inter-agency referrals.
- Interacts with Department of Social Services Staff and prepares needed documentation for cases and shared cases.
- Drives agency Mini-Bus for pick-up/drop-off of HRC consumers at EHG and other assigned areas.
- Maintains Vehicle Logs.
- Maintains Vehicle Maintenance Schedule.
Qualifications
Education and/or experience required:
- Associate degree with oneyear experience in Human Services, or High School Diploma/GED with two years' experience in Human Services.
- Must possess a clean NYS Driver's License, and maintain it clean throughout employment.
Skills, Licenses, and/or competencies required:
- Knowledge of social service delivery systems and county resources. (preferred)
- Knowledge of Housing stock available in Orange County. (preferred)
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good organizational, timemanagement and communication skills.
- Individual must possess the ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.

Pay:
$17.80 per hour
