    Job Title: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Medical Oncology-Supportive Care)

    This Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will be part of our dedicated Oncology team located in Logan, Utah. Our exceptional physicians and APPs utilize cutting-edge techniques and treatments to combat cancer cells. Care plans are personalized for each patient, taking into account their specific type of cancer, stage, location, and other key factors.

    The main focus of the role will be to provide care at our outpatient cancer center with an emphasis on offering supportive care. This will involve managing advanced symptoms, addressing physical and emotional challenges, and dealing with side effects from cancer treatments.

    In addition, the role will involve collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure cancer patients receive the necessary follow-up care and treatment visits.

    Full-time benefits are available, and the APP will typically work 30 hours per week. There may be occasional opportunities to assist with after-hours clinic calls during evenings, weekends, and holidays. While primarily based in Logan, the APP may also be required to provide coverage at other locations through telehealth as needed.

    We are looking for an APP with a genuine passion for oncology and a background in Oncology, Internal Medicine, and/or Palliative Care.


    Job Essentials:
    • Provide comprehensive care for patients with hematology/oncology diagnoses
    • Collaborate with physicians in treatment planning and follow-up care
    • Participate in service-oriented projects to enhance patient care and safety within the Oncology service
    • Assist with education and mentorship of healthcare staff members
    • Engage in continual professional development for optimal patient care
    • Contribute to research and evidence-based practice initiatives

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Current state license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)
    • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
    • Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V
    • Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V
    • BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
    • Additional certifications as required (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP)

    Additional Job Description:
    • Need to have strong observation and communication skills
    • Manual dexterity for handling equipment
    • Ability to lift and move patients and heavy items
    • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
