Position Overview:


Responsibilities:

• Preop patients upon arrival to the surgical center, obtaining relevant medical history and ensuring all necessary preoperative assessments are completed.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient, addressing their physical and emotional needs throughout the perioperative process.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and anesthesia as prescribed by the surgeon, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and preparation for surgery, ensuring a sterile environment in the operating room.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and physiological responses to surgical interventions, intervening promptly to address any changes in condition.
• Provide thorough postoperative care, including monitoring for complications, managing pain, and facilitating patient recovery.
• Educate patients and their families about postoperative care instructions, medications, and followup appointments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists, to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of [State Name].
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a surgical or perioperative setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members.

• Ability to thrive in a fastpaced and dynamic surgical environment.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
