Responsibilities:

This position involved gathering, analyzing, and interpreting a wide variety of research data.

This includes designing and conducting research, including selecting data samples, developing research instruments, analyzing collected information using established statistical methods, and developing recommendations based on research findings.

The person in this position will prepare reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids to interpret and communicate data and results for Economics Faculty.

Provides analyses and statistical studies for complex research proposals and protocols. Manages the personnel, timelines, logistics, and data collection for research studies of many different kinds.

This may include drafting and debugging code for estimation routines, counterfactual simulations, and computational exercises; cleaning and preparing datasets for analysis; assembling literature reviews and paper summaries; copy editing for drafts of papers, grant proposals, and other research outputs; and participating in research meetings and offering feedback.

Researches, monitors and analyzes research, including planning studies, designing survey instruments, determining the sampling and reporting structures, and preparing and analyzing research data.

Proposes, leads and/or participates in management and coordination of efforts among the members of the research team and a diverse array of faculty and researchers.

The coordination includes coordinating, attending, participating in, and running training activities to cultivate skills for members of the team; coordinating coding on larger project using version control software such as git; overseeing and training volunteer and paid undergraduate researchers; and maintaining the research group Slack and generating useful documentation and materials.

Researches and summarizes best practices in field. Develops proposals and recommendations to guide and support faculty research and the supportive infrastructure related to it.

Researches and analyzes data, reports, and literature, summarizes findings, and provide support to faculty by coordinating research meetings and interviewing, reviewing, and hiring undergraduate and predoctoral research assistants.

Prepares directives, regulations, technical guidance, and other instructions for issuance to stakeholders. Other duties as assigned.
