    HiFyve is hiring for a Tool & Die Maker in Mount Prospect, IL.

    Pay: $40/hr

    Shift: 2nd 2 pm-10 pm

    Optional Benefits

    Daily Tasks & Responsibilities =:

    • Plan and fix dies based on work orders and troubleshoot issues during production.
    • Take apart dies, inspect for damage, and replace worn parts.
    • Make new parts when needed and adjust dies to meet specifications.
    • Identify and fix problems from previous production runs.
    • Adjust dies for design changes and suggest improvements.
    • Test and refine new dies to meet standards.
    • Keep records and manage spare parts.
    • Ensure die safety devices are installed and working.
    • Help train apprentices and keep work area clean.
    • Use tools, machines, and a computer for tasks.

    Requirements:

    • At least 5 years of experience in tool making, proficient in troubleshooting.
    • Completion of an accredited apprenticeship or equivalent education and training.
    • Skilled in safely using various machine tools, precision instruments, and hand tools.
    • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow safety protocols.
    • Proficient in interpreting complex blueprints and using advanced math skills.
    • Experience with precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers.
    • Skilled in repairing, modifying, and troubleshooting punch press dies.
    • Capable of debugging and making alterations to new dies with limited guidance.
    • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
    • Able to focus on close-tolerance machining operations with high accuracy.
    • Willingness to work in an environment with noise, dust, and occasional weekend shifts.
