    Special Districts Attorney

    Denver, CO

    Our client is a family-friendly, lifestyle firm firm that specializes in the representation of Title 32 special districts and other local governments in the state of Colorado. The firm was founded 20 years ago and remains dedicated to addressing a unique set of practice areas for clients in the Denver metro area and throughout Colorado. They are seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team. Hybrid schedule.

    This role is responsible for handling a broad range of legal matters involving municipal, local government and special district law.

    • Perform legal research and draft legal documents (contracts, memorandums, ordinances, resolutions, etc.) that are clear, logical, and concise with minimal errors and appropriate for the given audience.
    • Interacting and communicating in writing, verbally, and in-person with clients, professional consultants, other attorneys, and members of local government councils, boards of directors and professional staff.
    • Ability to learn document management, billing, and other software programs for the purpose of drafting, editing, and sharing documents; sending and receiving documents; recording billed time; and interfacing with internal staff and clients.
    • Highly organized, detailed oriented, and self-motivated.
    • Knowledge of analysis and research techniques sufficient to gather information, secure and analyze desired information and formulate logical recommendations.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Candidate must be licensed in the state of Colorado and in good standing
    • 2-8 years of experience with general knowledge of municipal, local government and special districts law, real property, contracts, public utilities operations or regulation, employment law, risk management, legislation, litigation, and public finance, and/or prior experience as a judicial law clerk or government law clerk researching local government issues.
    • Self-starter, multi-tasker
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills

    COMPENSATION

    $125,000 - $175,000/year base, DOE + exceptional benefits
