Leasing Agent


Duties:

• Show available properties to potential tenants and provide them with information about the property
• Screen and qualify potential tenants by conducting background checks and verifying references
• Prepare lease agreements and ensure all necessary documents are signed by both parties
• Collect rent payments from tenants and ensure they are processed in a timely manner
• Address tenant concerns and coordinate maintenance requests with the appropriate personnel
• Market available properties through various channels to attract potential tenants
• Conduct property inspections to ensure compliance with lease agreements and identify any maintenance or repair needs
• Stay uptodate with local rental market trends and regulations

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of property management principles and practices
• Familiarity with leasing contracts and legal administrative procedures
• Ability to negotiate lease terms and rental rates with potential tenants
• Proficient in data entry and record keeping
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with tenants, property owners, and colleagues
• Knowledge of Section 8 housing programs is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
