Purpose of Position:

This position will perform all necessary functions to ensure the efficient movement of cargo to the customer.

In this role, will also work closely with Warehouse/Operations staff, Sales and Transportation team to review and determine accuracy of delivery of products.


Accountabilities:


  • Receives driver checkin information to generate loading documents and give instructions for filling orders.
  • Processes orders to ensure loading accuracy and issues driver BOLs.
  • Schedule appointments by comparing product availability in order to facilitate truck loading in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with Port Associate, Sales and Transportation team to schedule orders in a timely matter.
  • Coordinate with Port Operations Managers regarding vessel discharge schedule in order to determine availability times of cargo.
  • Address any problems or concerns that Del Monte Sales personnel, truck dispatchers or drivers may have.
  • Assist with internal audits and Food and Safety objectives as necessary to fulfill Quality Management System requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales, purchasing and management to ensure timely resolution of issues resulting from plan deviations, and any inbound needs for outbound loads to ensure timely delivery to customers.

Minimum Skills Required:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills (i.e. oral and written).
  • Well organized and able to multitask.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (i.e. oral and written).
  • Proficient with numbers and inventory.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word and Outlook, etc.).
  • TWIC Card

Preferred:


  • BS Degree in Logistics or related field
  • Deep knowledge of the Logistics/Warehousing Industry with corresponding certifications.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Food Industry Background
  • Bilingual in Spanish would also be a plus

This position does not qualify for relocation expenses.



DEL MONTE FRESH PRODUCE IS AN EEO/AA/V/H

Pay:
$ $16.00 per hour
