    A part of the local leadership team

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our team in the manufacturing/processing industry.

    This role will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

    The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic financial planning, cost management, and financial analysis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a growing company and help shape our financial future.
    Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts and results.
    Analyze and report financial performance with variance explanations.
    Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
    Coordinate monthly and annual closing processes including reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
    Ensure inventory is accurate and properly valued.
    Serve as back-up role for payroll processing in ADP.
    Coordinate the implementation of the annual budget process.
    Analyze current and prospective operations to identify opportunities to improve revenue and reduce expenses.
    Supervise finance staff and Inventory Coordinator.
    Implement internal controls to protect company assets and to reduce risks of transactional errors and fraud.
    Ensure safe handling of cash.
    Develop comprehensive reports for all departments to assist them in improving their operations.
    Contribute to strategic planning.
    Support organization with ERP training and transaction assistance.
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
    Experience with creating financial statements.
    Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
    Ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
    Strong understanding of financial and accounting processes.
    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
