At Nells Park Hotel Trier, an apprenticeship means: developing yourself, learning a lot, and having fun. Our MOVE UP program for trainees offers training, events, external internships, and much more.

We are currently looking for a new apprentice to start in August 2025 (new since August 2022) as a specialist for restaurants and event catering (m/f/d).

As a restaurant specialist, you can advance from Commis de Rang to department head, restaurant director, or business director (F&B manager) in the restaurant and bar departments.

Through the apprenticeship, restaurant specialists gain ideal qualifications for positions in banquet and event management or for independently managing a hospitality business.


Requirements for the apprenticeship:

  • Completion of secondary school
  • Team and communication skills
  • Good manners
  • Quick comprehension
  • Organizational and sales talent
Duration of the apprenticeship: 2-3 years, depending on the level of education


Training content:

  • Performing host functions
  • Serving food and drinks
  • Organizing service processes
  • Conceptualizing, organizing, and executing events, conferences, and banquets
  • Instructing and leading employees
  • Using billing systems
  • Knowledge of service, food, and beverages
Vocational school: 1 or 2 days per week in Trier
