    Description

    Description:As a Tig Welder you will have the following Responsibilities:

    • Tig Welding (50%) and assembly (50%) of different types of process equipment for the food industry. All equipment is stainless food grade
    • Weld and assemble pipes and pipe parts in acid-resistant stainless steel
    • TIG welding (pulsating), manual and mechanized
    • Must be able to crawl in and out of containers
    • Process check in according to quality requirements
    • Rework of the labor work sheets and submit
    • Participate in the activities of daily improvement
    • Actively participate in multi-skill training
    • Actively participate in the team's WCM/5S activities and reach certain level according to the company's request
      Additional Skills & Qualifications:Must have Tig Welding Experience OR a degreeIf a Traveler, you must pass their welding test which is in the 6g position on 2 1/2" sch 40 pipe with a 45 degree bevel.
    • Pipe will be slammed together with no gap.
    • They want to see it done in 3 passes.
    • Root pass with FULL penetration, then fill pass to flush with the pipe, and finally a cover pass without undercut.
      They are very strict on getting full penetration on the root pass*They also may want to see some fillet welds on T-plates.
      They will also do a test on very small diameter tubing (less than 3/8" but more than 1/4")
