    Construction Materials procurement experience required

    Our client is actively seeking a talented Procurement Manager located in Atlanta, GA. This is a full-time, permanent HYBRID opportunity with our client.

    Job Overview:

    Our client has an immediate career opportunity for a Procurement Manager. This individual will be responsible for helping to develop and implement best practices across the client's enterprise, with a focus on new construction projects. This includes working with stakeholders to identify and quantify opportunities, managing RFPs, negotiating with suppliers, and rolling our programs to the business.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Identify and execute opportunities to build Procurement programs in support of Company goals around value creation and project execution
    • Perform traditional category management activities including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract management, and performance management
    • Manage negotiations, contract development, execution, and implementation of Procurement programs
    • Troubleshoot and solve issues impacting construction projects
    • Serve as subject matter expert on market conditions, supply chain best practices, and assigned categories
    • Embed sustainable procurement and support for historically disadvantaged business enterprises into the process

    Requirements:

    • 6+ years of experience working in estimating and/or procurement.
    • Strong foundation of strategic sourcing principles and an understanding of new construction processes

    Preferred Skills:

    • Previous experience focused on construction materials and services
    • A track record of taking initiative and performing work with limited supervision
    • The desire to be a change agent, influencing behavior to deliver positive business outcomes
    • Ability to work in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment
