Education and Qualifications:

Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program

Experience of 2 years or more desirable but will train new graduates

Knowledge of medical office EMR systems and procedures

Experience with EPIC desirable

Patient care duties:

Greet and room patients, record vital signs

Obtain brief history and enter presenting complaints in EMR

Perform ECG, injection, specimen collection, urinalysis and strep screens as needed

Obtain lab results, imaging studies etc. if not already in EMR

Stocking and cleaning of clinic area


Office duties:

Review and update insurance eligibility

Answer telephones, return voice mails and patient call backs

Schedule appointments

Sort and collate incoming records, and scan records into EMR

Process medication refill requests, service authorization requests etc

Process outgoing mail and faxes

Maintain medical records, including immunization

Demonstrate working knowledge and following OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.


Pay:
$ $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
