Job Summary:

Nikkel Iron Works has been producing farm equipment in Shafter since 1923, and is the manufacturer of DARF hay rakes, the Tule River Nutcrowder, and other top quality brands.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Product Support and Development Specialist to join our team.

As a Product Support and Development Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers, maintaining equipment line drawings, generating new drawings for existing product lines and contributing technical expertise to new product development.

Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting with improvements to shop processes, quality and safety.


Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to customers, including answering questions and resolving issues related to product design and functionality

Create and maintain accurate and detailed equipment line drawings and generate new drawings for existing product lines.

Assist in evaluating warranty claims.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products are manufactured to meet quality and safety standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures that improve efficiency in the shop environment.

Continuously evaluate and improve existing products and processes to optimize performance and reduce costs.

Research new materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes to incorporate into product designs.


Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Agribusiness, Engineering or similar, or equivalent experience.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, and assembly.

Knowledge of engineering principles, including mechanics, materials, and thermodynamics.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

2+ years of experience in product design, preferably in the agricultural or manufacturing industry.

Proficient in 3D CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

This position reports to the Plant Manager.


Pay:
From $20.00 per hour

No less than 40 per week
