About the Position
Launch an exciting career with us and build the ultimate sense of adventure. Our team is growing and seeks a motivated and experienced quality inspector. We are looking for individuals with previous measurement and inspection experience, as well as a proven track record in quality.
As a Quality Inspector you will play a crucial role in ensuring standards of quality and compliance in aircraft manufacturing are met.
You will be involved in inspecting various components, systems, and structures, contributing to the overall safety and reliability of our aircraft.
What you will do:
- Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft components, systems, and structures in accordance with established procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of inspection results, including detailed reports on measurements, tests, and observations. Document and report any nonconformities, deviations, or discrepancies.
- Ensure strict adherence to aviation regulations, such as FAA requirements, and companyspecific quality control standards throughout the aircraft manufacturing process.
- Interpret and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to verify that aircraft components and systems meet design requirements.
- Conduct and oversee various testing procedures, including dimensional checks, material analysis, and nondestructive testing, to validate the integrity and functionality of aircraft parts.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to address quality concerns, provide feedback on inspection results, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in root cause analysis investigations to identify and address the underlying causes of defects or nonconformities. Propose and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct regular process audits to ensure that manufacturing processes align with established quality control procedures and industry standards.
- Promote and adhere to safety protocols, contributing to a safe and secure working environment for all aircraft manufacturing activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management or as necessary to meet the organization's needs.
What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a quality inspector in the manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools.
- Understanding technical specifications and conducting various testing methods.
- Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively convey inspection findings and collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to identify root causes and contribute to effective problemsolving.
- Preferred but not required: _
- Additional education or certification in quality assurance, A&P, aviation technology, or a related field.
- Experience as a quality inspector in the Aviation industry.
- Familiarity with relevant aviation regulations, such as those set by the FAA or other applicable aviation authorities is beneficial.
Work Environment Requirements:
- May travel for training, to repair aircraft in the field, and to provide temporary support for other bases.
- May work outdoors, in weather, as necessary.
- May work near moving aircraft and machinery.
- May work in a potentially noisy work environment.
