Excel Medical Center seeking an HR Administrative Assistant/Recruiter to join us in our mission to provide direct clinical Adult medicine to the underserved community in Philadelphia


We are seeking a high-energy, solutions-oriented HR Administrative Assistant/Recruiter to perform a variety of HR administrative tasks to support the Director, HR and the Excel Medical Center employees.


As HR Administrative Assistant, support the Director, HR by providing first-point-of contact/frontline services to employees, management and medical staff on critical and confidential Human Resources related issues.


To be successful in this role, need to be resourceful, innovative, and proactive to support our fast-paced teams at Excel Medical Center.

This dynamic position requires anticipating needs, thinking critically, and offering solutions to problems with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.


Our successful HRAA maintains compliant HR documentation such as personnel files, benefit files, 401k folders, I-9 files and criminal background check binder.

Also supports recruitment activities such as outreach to applicants, scheduling interviews, obtaining all necessary documentation for applicants and new hires and assisting with onboarding / orientation activities.

HRAA also supports and responds to HR-related needs for the HR business partners and their designated departments.

Triages, as appropriate, HR related questions to Director, HR to support in the delivery of value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of Excel Medical Center.

Maintains high level of confidentiality in all areas

  • Acts as the primary contact for the employees and managers accessing the HR
  • Handles tier one level inquiries regarding HR policy, benefits, payroll and assesses need for escalation to Director, HR.
  • Supports the delivery of HR processes for the client
  • Accountable for HR service delivery satisfaction to client.
  • Acts as the HR administrative support for needs of management
  • Interacts with coworkers, visitors, and other staff consistent with our core values.
  • Coordinates employee service events and responds to inquiries about service time
  • Manages unemployment claims in a timely and efficient manner utilizing system resources and knowledge of business model both clinical and nonclinical
  • Manages all HR files/cabinets and online information
  • Processes I9 and license/certification verification as part of new hire orientation
  • Manages employment verification process
  • Manages Hiring process/orientation and ensuring all documentation is collected.
  • Assist with special projects such as employee recognition and service events and other programs
  • May support client group as HR partner under direct supervision of a HR Director
  • Other HR Administrative and recruiting duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:


  • Min HS Diploma/equivalent
  • Bachelors Degree; Human Resources or related field preferred
  • HR office experience 2 or more years is a plus
  • Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional business experience required; Medical Office experience is a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years in HR administrative assistant function or related capacity desired.
  • Recruitment experience is a plus; prefer min 6 months 1 year with experience onboarding
  • Demonstrated focused customer service orientation, excellent listening & problem solving skills
  • Positive, high energy approach to challenging, critical work in a very fastpaced, busy medical office setting; excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Competent experience with HR Office suite
  • Min 1 year experience with HRIS systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to function effectively in a highpaced and at times stressful work environment
  • Extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems
  • Desire to pursue a career in HR a plus
