    Job Description: The Role

    As a Principal Data Modeler supporting Workplace Investments (WI) - Healthcare Group (HCG), you blend deep data modeling knowledge and Data Architecture experience to build Data Models for multiple key initiatives.

    In an Agile structure you collaborate with other Data Modelers to establish the standards for your Center of Excellence (COE), influence the strategic decisions and build solutions to help scale our business. You are committed to staying hands-on, developing your own expertise and knowledge to bring the latest thinking to your role and to empower others with that knowledge.

    You work closely with the Analysts and Data Engineers assigned to squads across product areas to build or assist in the creation of scalable, flexible, and well detailed data models that will improve the WI-HCG product offerings and speed time to market. You help to drive conformance to the WI-HCG data strategy and Enterprise Data Taxonomy.

    The Expertise and Skills You Bring

    • B.S. degree in math, statistics, computer science, or equivalent technical field.
    • 6+ years of experience in designing and delivering data lake, data warehouses and reporting platforms
    • Strong proficiency and experience in Data modeling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical, 3nF, Dimensional) at both a project and enterprise level
    • Dimensional Modeling with experience in crafting conformed dimensions that can be used across Business UnitsData Modeling Tool such as Powerdesigner, Oracle Designer or Erwin
    • Experience working with Data Engineering and Data Analytics teams
    • Understanding of principles and standard methodologies around Data Architecture
    • Ability to write SQL to query data (ideally ANSI SQL)
    • Solid grasp of Database technologies, techniques, and trends
    • Experience with Snowflake experience a plus
    • Experience with data governance and metadata management tools and standard methodologies a plus
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to explain Data structures to a non-technical audience
    • Results oriented with proven ability to work independently
    • Good interpersonal, negotiating, and influencing skills
    • Solid experience in leading in a reciprocal, team-based environment with a constant focus on learning, mentoring, and encouraging others.

    Fidelitys working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs.
