    This full-time, standard position operates on our four-day work week (Monday-Thursday) working 100% in office. Ability to work after hours, evenings and weekends may be occasionally required.

    Target Hiring Range: $18.23 – 20.00 USD hourly

    Compensation will be determined based on education, experience and skills.

    Essential Duties:

  • Repair and maintain machinery, plumbing, electrical wiring, fixtures and physical structures of County buildings in accordance with blueprints, manuals, and building codes, using a variety of tools.
  • Troubleshoot heating and air conditioning problems and oversee repairs.
  • Solve workspace challenges through completion of the install, reconfigure, and removal of systems office furniture. Includes moving boxes of supplies, books and materials.
  • Fulfill furniture setup needs of public and staff in various meeting spaces.
  • Monitor our inventory levels by maintaining and ordering parts for equipment, including book sorters.
  • Operate County vehicle and other motorized equipment.
  • Prioritize work requests for optimal function of County systems.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including ProCard processing, work logs and team communications using computers, laptops and mobile devices.
  • Enhance the security and safety of our facilities by responding to building emergencies in the evening and on weekends during your rotating on-call schedule.
  • Perform various tasks on an as needed basis, including painting and patching walls, light landscaping, snow removal, lighting and plumbing fixture repair and replacement, minor carpentry, floor and ceiling repair.

    Minimal Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certificate AND
  • 1 year of work-related experience such as customer service
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

    • Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience performing maintenance and repair in commercial facilities
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems in a commercial facility
  • Experience as an excellent verbal and written communicator in a customer service position
