Job Summary
The Receptionist supports the leadership team and enrollment in the Learning Academy.

This person is primarily responsible for all student enrollment procedures (inquiry until transition out of program), transportation details and additional front desk needs.

The Receptionist also supports the operation and management of the center in capacities outlined by the Owner/Director.


Qualifications

  • Experience managing preschool office
  • Classroom experience in an early childhood setting
  • Evidence of leadership or management in past employment
  • Knowledge of teaching principles, practices, childcare minimum standards and classroom procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively through written and oral communication
  • All qualifications must meet state licensing requirements

Responsibilities:


Programs

  • Working knowledge of the Kids 'R' Kids curriculum, Learning Management System, and the weblink for all series, guides, supplement materials and programs
  • Participation in All schoolwide events (ex: Mother's Day, Teacher Appreciation, Staff Meetings, etc.)
  • Promote school/state health and safety standard
  • Maintains annual 30 hours of continuous training

Enrollment

  • Utilizes Intellikids
  • Completes all student files per minimum standards and KRK policies
  • Monthly student file audits
  • Immunizations
  • Emergency Binder with updated student/family information
  • Pictures of ALL parents and authorized pickup persons photographed and placed into Procare
  • Deposit family checks
  • Communicate with Area Accounts Manager several times a week
  • Transition letters and transitions
  • Transition letters and implementation communicated
  • Add/delete families on Watch Me Grow, Procare, etc.
  • Afterschool signup registration for camps/holidays posted and provided to Area Accounts Manager
  • Allergy information provided to front desk employee to updated all school allergy list and pictures

Transportation

  • Bus Binders created and updated with new students and removal of past students
  • Bus Inspections completed and tags updated
  • Field Trip Binders updated, field trips posted 48 hours before event, signedpermission slips complete

Center Staff

  • Morning ratio sheet completed hourly till closing
  • Ensures that proper childstaff ratios are maintained
  • Encourages high quality teacherchild interactions
  • Participates in all staff training sessions, meetings, and programs as requested by the Director and sponsored by the Learning Academy
  • Supports teachers and coworkers in completing tasks, providing restroom breaks, assisting in childconcerns (behavior/illness)
Customer Relations

  • Develops and actively maintains positive communications with families and staff.
  • Recognizes parent concerns, evaluates course of action and responds appropriately to the needs of families. Communicates family concerns to the Director. Maintains strict confidentiality regarding children and families.
  • Welcomes families and students every opportunity provided
  • Assist in School Tours in a professional, upbeat, positive manner
  • Assist management with any family issues relating to the classroom so that they are resolved quickly.
  • Assist with the curriculum explanation in a tour with a potential new family.
Relationships with Families

  • Maintains effective communications with families, including Procare messenger
  • Listens attentively to their concerns and takes appropriate action
  • Is available to parents at their convenience. Communicated with all Leadership members in regards to concerns.

General

  • Seeks assistance from the Director when appropriate to effectively resolve problems
  • Must be able to react quickly with sound judgment and problemsolving skills in complex and critical situations, such as injuries and accidents
  • Must use excellent verbal and written communication skills with parents, children, and staff
  • Must be capable of lifting, carrying, and holding children in accordance with local state requirements
  • Plans work schedules and supervises staff in absence of upper management
  • Completes all required paperwork and record keeping on a timely basis and maintains same in an organized, uptodate manner
  • Keeps Director apprised in a timely manner of all critical areas of responsibility, including serious student accidents, employee issues and significant events. Develops and maintains strong working relationships with all state licensing authorities, approved vendors, and community contacts.
  • Represents the interests of Kids 'R Kids Learning Academies in the community
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintains filing of all pertinent paperwork
