Social Pedagogical Specialist (m/f/d) in Part-Time


As part of the cross-institutional concept "Flexipool," we employ professionals for medium- to long-term positions in childcare facilities of AWO OWL - an opportunity to gain experience in various daycares.

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our team in Ann Arbor, MI.


The position is part-time (20.0 hours/week) and permanent, with the initial assignment at AWO Kita Börninghausen in Preußisch Oldendorf (expected until July 31, 2023, with possible extension), followed by medium- to long-term openings in AWO OWL daycares.

The salary is based on TV AWO NRW in pay group 8.


Job Description:


  • Building reliable relationships with children
  • Supporting the development of children of different age groups within the educational, care, and educational mandate of the facility
  • Designing and documenting pedagogical work, as well as conducting observations
  • Continuously developing the pedagogical work based on children's rights and professional standards
  • Collaborating with the team, parents, schools, and other institutions in accordance with AWO's mission statement

Requirements:


  • Education as a staterecognized educator or equivalent
  • Experience in pedagogical work with children of different age groups
  • Proficiency in observation methods and tools
  • Identification with AWO values and children
