    Being Independent Giants Inc., a non-profit organization that is part of the underserved communities, is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Project Manager/Technical Lead to spearhead our efforts on the Innovative, Visualization, Exploration and Data Analysis (IVEDA) contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) at the Marshall Space Flight Center.


    In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project, from the development of a robust data system to the design and implementation of a scalable, cloud-based VEDA platform.

    Your technical expertise, coupled with your strong project management skills, will be essential in delivering a solution that aligns with NASA's open science objectives and engages the broader scientific community.


    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate the development of a data system that can seamlessly incorporate multiple data types and sources, ensuring compatibility with different sensors and resolutions
    • Design and implement a scalable, cloudbased VEDA platform with intuitive user interfaces, powerful data visualization capabilities, and flexible APIs
    • Ensure the platform adheres to open science principles and actively engage with the community to encourage buyin and adoption
    • Manage the project timeline, budget, and resource allocation to meet NASA's requirements
    • Foster collaborative partnerships with the IMPACT team and other stakeholders


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, data science, or information technology
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in project management and technical leadership roles
    • Proven track record of leading complex, multifaceted projects in the data management, cloud computing, or visualization domains
    • Expertise in data system development, cloudbased platform implementation, and user experience design
    • Strong programming and software development skills, with experience in modern web technologies and frameworks
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders
    Preferred

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree or advanced certification in a relevant field
    • Experience working with NASA or other government agencies
    • Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other Agile methodologies
    • Familiarity with geospatial data and GIS technologies
