Hi, I'm Eric, Senior Controller at. I'm looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Business Operations team. The Accounting Manager and the Controller and CFO will work together to manage and maintain the financial record keeping and reporting of the company. This role will directly impact the company by contributing to the development, maintenance, and review of the monthly financial results, the annual operating budget and rolling forecasts, as well as managing the day-to-day functions required of the team.
Some things you'll do...
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards. Communicate financial results to senior management and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Team Leadership :
Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance on complex accounting issues and support professional development initiatives.
Compliance and Controls :
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls. Implement and maintain policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
Process Improvement :
Streamline accounting processes and leverage technology to increase efficiency and accuracy. Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance productivity and scalability.
Audit Support :
Coordinate external audits and serve as the primary point of contact for auditors. Prepare audit schedules, provide requested documentation, and address audit findings in a timely manner.
System Implementation :
Collaborate with cross functional departments to implement new procurement, payroll and subscription billing tools. Providing documentation and training for company personnel on new processes and procedures.
What we're looking for:
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 years in a managerial role.
Thorough understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.
CPA preferred
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
