SUMMARY:
The Director of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) works as an integral part of the Executive Team.

The Director of MAT will perform, but is not limited to, the following duties:

oversight of project, conduct supervision of assigned personnel, provide in-service training, manage fiscal budget, collaborate with community providers and project representatives to adhere to contract compliance.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Conduct regularly scheduled staff meetings; inservice training and supervision with assigned personnel.
  • Conduct confidential, quality assessments that are gender and culturally responsive and trauma informed.
  • Perform direct services when necessary.
  • Provide ongoing consultations and crisis intervention.
  • Participate in program planning, development and other management functions.
  • Ensures effective implementation and operations of the Project's evidencebased practices, services, and interventions.
  • Responsible for ongoing Project evaluation and achievement of goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for the fiscal budget and electronic health record data.
  • Develop systemlinkages and referral processes with collaborative partners and other communitybased providers.
  • Attend, organize, and/or lead various outside meetings to coordinate and benefit Project services and achieve objectives.
  • Attends relevant professional development conferences and make presentations to staff.
  • Complete and submit programmatic and fiscal reports in compliance with funder(s).
  • Ensure compliance, accuracy and quality of documentation.
  • Ensures standards of confidentiality in handling records, collaboration with other providers, and internal communication.
  • Ensure compliance with funder(s) requirements and regulatory and licensing standards.
  • Constructively utilize formal and informal customer comments to evaluate and improve effectiveness in providing services.
  • Oversee medication management for all outpatient clinics.
  • Develop best flow for practices regarding MAT for clients.
  • Intercept all medication questions and inform providers as needed.
  • Train Project Director and staff regarding MAT best practice.
  • Onboard all providers and train them on Care Logic, Doctor First and other necessary computer programs.
  • Keep track of all prior authorization and hand out to providers when necessary.
  • Maintain relationship with all pharmaceutical representatives.
  • Set up and maintain relationships with all labs.
  • Monitor the Medication Room and ensure it is compliant with DEA standards.
  • Sign up all providers in Logical Access Control (LAC).
  • Work closely with providers for best Medication management for each client.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
The Director of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) must perform each essential function satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge/skill and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences from an accredited college or is a licensed (LADC)/certified (CADAC) drug counselor or is the process of obtaining licensure.
  • Minimum of five years of related work experience providing services to those affected by substance use and mental health disorders and homelessness.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in leadership and management.
  • Good working knowledge of computers, electronic health records and data collection.
  • Requires valid driver's license due to businessrelated travel at least 30% of the time
