Description

The Manager of Data Resources will work collaboratively with the entire University Advancement division to help drive institutional fundraising and engagement goals.

The Manager of Data Resources will be primarily responsible for providing support and administration of the department's advancement system.

Working closely with the Director, Advancement Services and Associate Director, Data Acquisition and Integrity to oversee all data acquisition and integrity projects aimed at maintaining system integrity for Advancement.


Duties

  • Manage the interface of information transferred monthly to the Raiser's Edge (RE). Create, manage, and update records for new and continuing students, using Importomatic and manual data entry to process the data flow from PeopleSoft or other sources to RE. Research students and alumni in Peoplesoft and update RE records appropriately. Manage the interface of information transferred weekly to RE from Fonteva (University events) and provide updates back. Also, manage the interface of information daily to RE from Vanilla Soft (telemarketing call center).
  • Administer, maintain, and implement policy and procedure for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of constituent records in RE. Review, analyze, evaluate, and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly RE cleanup jobs and process any necessary updates.
  • Create and maintain policy and procedures documentation for this position. Manage the Advancement Services master cleanup list of queries to help ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data in Raiser's Edge. Remain informed on Raiser's Edge updates, upgrades, and additional services as they pertain to the job.
  • Process all new hires and separations received from Human Resources (HR) notifications. This process includes adding new records, updating existing ones, and in cases of separations, discontinuing security access for RE/NXT.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience; Familiarity with Blackbaud CRM, preferably Raiser's Edge NXT; Ability to administer online giving pages; Ability to query and analyze data, demonstrated experience working with large data sets and data segmentation; Demonstrated ability to compose and appropriately format correspondence and reports.


Excellent organizational skills; interpersonal, and project management skills; attention to detail and accuracy; creativity and problem-solving skills; Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse constituencies, meet deadlines, be self-motivated, work independently, show flexibility, and adaptability to shifting priorities.


Preferred:
Excellent knowledge of Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge, able to train end users to beginning and intermediate levels.

Ability to work independently; Highly detail oriented; Excellent language skills; Experience with PeopleSoft, Familiar with navigating the internet and performing online research.

This is a Regular, Nonexempt, 40 hour per week position.

Expected Pay Range:
$ $30.00 per hour

The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level. In addition to base pay, Pepperdine offers a robust and highly competitive benefits package.
