Position Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all equipment maintenance activities within the facility. This includes planning and executing preventive maintenance programs, directing repair efforts, and ensuring machinery and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. The role involves leading maintenance personnel, optimizing systems and processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and uphold company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the development, implementation, and improvement of maintenance systems and processes.
- Review and analyze data from work orders to identify trends and recommend preventive maintenance adjustments.
- Make necessary updates to maintenance systems and schedules to reduce equipment downtime.
- Assist in training new employees on maintenance procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
- Monitor, coach, and evaluate employee performance to ensure quality and consistency of work.
- Support team members in servicing equipment and resolving technical issues.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment aligned with company policies, OSHA requirements, and quality standards.
- Ensure all maintenance activities follow the company's quality and safety guidelines.
- Promote and uphold 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) principles across the department.
- Perform routine housekeeping and ensure all completed work areas meet 5S standards.
- Assist with general building and machine service needs as required.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience
- Associate degree or equivalent education.
- Trade school certification or vocational training in maintenance-related fields.
- Experience with machine and building maintenance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of basic MIOSHA safety requirements.
- Understanding of PLCs and vision systems.
