    Description

    The Hawaii Pacific Health Research Institute (HPHRI) is dedicated to expanding our knowledge and investigation of the most advanced methods of health prevention in Hawaii. HPHRI researchers conduct more than 200 clinical trials within the Hawaii Pacific Health network of hospitals Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children, Pali Momi Medical Center, Straub Medical Center and Wilcox Medical Center. The Institute oversees an impressive array of research projects, covering areas such as oncology, cardiology, emergency medicine and neonatology. It manages a multi-million dollar budget and a dedicated staff that includes more than 25 clinical research coordinators and up to 75 physicians. Our studies assure patient safety in all aspects of research as they break new ground in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

    The Sex Abuse Treatment Center (SATC) of the Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children is a statewide program established in 1976 in response to the communitys concern over the absence of medical, psychological and legal support services for victims and the absence of police reporting. Today it is recognized for its leadership and expertise in providing treatment services for survivors of sexual assault, preventing sexual violence and effecting change through public policy, awareness and education. Our mission is to support the emotional healing process of those sexually assaulted in Hawaii, to increase community awareness about their needs and to reduce the incidence of all forms of sexual assault. Through research and education we also aim to improve clinical practices. By promoting and engaging in public policy we are changing public perceptions of sexual violence, overcoming barriers to treatment and prevention, and ensuring effective criminal justice practices.

    If you are detailed-oriented and organized, you may be the ideal candidate for our Client Service Specialist position. You would perform administrative, billing and collection activities in support of the center's core mission. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent customer service and communication skills, pays strong attention to detail, enjoys working with others in a team-oriented atmosphere and is committed to helping our organization deliver the highest quality health care to Hawaiis people.

    Work Schedule: Day - 8 Hours

    Starting Hourly Rate: 17.20

    Exempt: No

    Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years administrative, billing, or collections experience in a health care setting.

    Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree. Experience with EPIC. Working knowledge of health insurance processing and knowledge of CPT and ICD codes.

    Hawaii Pacific Health offers a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that includes pay and benefits. The pay rate, if displayed, is the minimum hourly rate for the position. Rate of pay for selected candidates will be determined by various factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience and training, as well as internal peer equity.
