The Consumer Insights Assistant Vice President (AVP) will lead insights for the two largest TJX brands.
The AVP will be responsible for data and insight generation that guides brand strategy, segment/audience strategy, creative development/optimization, and marketing plan development to drive continued brand consideration and profitable growth.
The AVP will be responsible for understanding consumer sentiment and consumer perceptions of our brands, identifying opportunities for customer growth, and providing insights on how to build the brand.
The AVP will work cross-functionally with a wide variety of stakeholders, including other consumer insight leaders, brand marketing leads, external creative agencies, and merchant leads, and elevating insights and strategy to Executive Level.
Lead team on vision and execution of research, analysis and insight generation for the two largest TJX brands acting as the passionate voice of consumer, business, category, and competitive insightsLead and oversee primary quantitative research capabilities and studies (i.e. segmentation, brand health, communications tracking, category research), qualitative exploratory research, creative testing, customer journeyIntegrate data and insihts across various sources to determine overall implications and influence multiple stakeholders, including Executive level, with insights generatedEstablish and refine our best practices for the appropriate use of different research methodologies, interpretation of results, and delivery of value to the businessDevelop team of insight leaders and support management of external vendor relationshipsBachelor's degree; Minimum 12 years of experience in consumer insights, market research or analytics, including 6+ years leading and managing insight and analytic professionals/teams and experience working in-house/client sideBackground in designing, analyzing and generating insights and action from both quantitative, including continuous/ongoing tracking programs and secondary data sources, and qualitative researchExperience in guiding and influencing brand strategy, segment/audience strategy, creative development/optimization and marketing plan development based on insights; ideal candidate would have experience with generating insights for Brands Customer ExperiencePassion understand consumer needs, behaviors and trends, and advocating for the consumer Exceptional analytic skills with the ability to skillfully analyze, dissect, and interpret dataAttention to details and able to grasp the big pictureAdept at presenting complex concepts in an easy to understand and actionable wayStrong project management skills and comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced environmentExperience influencing across a broad array of internal and external partnersExperience in directing a team to develop, analyze, synthesize, and communicate data and insights effectivelyHigh degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office products and SPSS/Q/other data analytic tools
