The Marcus Corporation is in search of a Corporate Counsel who will be responsible for providing legal advice, assistance and support to our hotel and theatre divisions in the area of general corporate law.

What you will be doing:
  • Draft and negotiate contracts and other legal documents, including procurement agreements, construction contracts, SaaS agreements, hotel group sales contracts, etc.
  • Research legal issues in the areas of corporate law, real estate, contracts, labor and employment, and intellectual property.
  • Support the corporate real estate team on matters involving real estate acquisitions and dispositions, commercial lease transactions, zoning and land use, and condominiums.
  • Consult with both Hotel and Theatre divisions and corporate human resources, accounting, finance, marketing and other departments to support their legal needs and advise on legal and strategic issues.
  • Opportunities to present to and interact with the Executive Management team and Board of Directors.

What we are looking for:


  • Juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin.
  • Minimum of two to three years of relevant experience at a law firm or inhouse.
  • An understanding of corporate or real estate law with experience in commercial transactions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to perform multiple priorities with mínimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to represent the company in a professional manner.
