Responsibilities

  • Identifies sales opportunities through direct prospecting, lead generation and followup and networking.
  • Cold calls new prospects and manages the full sales cycle to include: lead generation, lead follow up, qualification, needs analysis, bid preparation, contract negotiation and closing.
  • Consistently hits or exceeds sales objectives for new customers and/or upselling current customers
  • Documents daily sales activities, prepares accurate reports and forecasts, manages pipeline and communicates such activities to management.
  • Provides field feedback to internal, crossfunctional teams regarding services, selling and competitive matters.
  • Transitions new account to and introduces the Account Manager to client.
  • Works collaboratively with the operations team as well as other sales/marketing groups within the organization.
  • Attends weekly production meetings to remain abreast of project status and to inform production team of any changes to design or specifications.
  • Monitors payment terms and coordinates with accounting the collection of payments in accordance with the established schedule.
  • Develops and maintains a high level of knowledge about landscaping services provided by the company.
  • Develops and maintains an understanding of the properties, multifamily managers, property managers and their respective budgets and needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive B2B business development/sales experience, ideally in landscaping or other facility service industry
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, marketing or related field of study is preferred.
  • Can demonstrate a successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License with clean driving record and ability to pass preemployment background and drug screening
  • Shares in company values and can demonstrate those in the field
