Dog Care Attendant/receptionist - Southold, United States - Dog Town

Description

Pet Care Associates are responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of the business and successful delivery of requested services.

• To ensure that all kenneled dogs are properly fed, watered and in good health.
• To notify senior management or supervisor if any dogs appear to be sick or injured.
• Ensure that all enquiries in relation to kenneled dogs are handled in accordance with Company policy.
• Ensure the kennels are in a safe and secure condition at all times and are thoroughly cleansed.
• To take reasonable care of own and others' safety; to cooperate with managers/supervisors in complying with statutory health & safety duties; to report incidents, accidents, faults etc.
• Responsible for the provision and systematic capture of services in alignment with company policy and guests requests
• Responsible for accountability of guests and all associated belongings

• Previous dog handling experience is preferred
• Must demonstrate compassion and empathy towards animals and possess the ability to work in high stress, high noise, and fastpaced environment.
• Be able to use basic analytical skills to solve problems autonomously
• Position requires bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying of objects upwards of 50 lbs. May include long periods of standing and requires the ability to handle dogs in excess of 100lbs.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old with transportation to get to and from work.
• Must be able to answer phone calls and book appointments.
