    Forklift Operator

    Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday 8 am -5 pm

    Pay Rate: $16/hr

    Location: Pasadena, TX 77507

    Experience: 3- 5+ Years

    Forklift Operator Job Summary:

    The Forklift Operator will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks and containers and storing products in the warehouse utilizing various MHE sit-down lifts, standups, and various attachments.

    Forklift Operator Responsibilities and Requirements include:

    • Responsible for loading and unloading trucks and containers utilizing a forklift
    • Responsible for storing products in the warehouse utilizing a forklift.
    • Conduct a maintenance check at the beginning of each shift.
    • Charges the forklift battery as needed.
    • Communicates all amounts of materials received or stored.
    • Stacks orders per customer specifications.
    • Picks orders for shipments.
    • Operates a scanner as needed.
    • Performs labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and re-packing as needed.
    • Assists in cycle count weekly.
    • Assists in building inventory quarterly.
    • Assists in inventory counts per special customer requests.
    • Attends safety meetings daily.
    • Cleans up the area as required.
    • Assists the shift supervisor in building maintenance.
    • Participates in OSHA, DOT, and forklift re-training per policy/procedures.

    Forklift Operator Skills and Abilities include:

    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
    • Ability to write simple correspondence.
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations.
    • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
    • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
