- Provide legal counsel and representation to clients on environmental regulatory compliance matters, including permitting, enforcement actions, and environmental due diligence for transactions.
- Advise clients on environmental impact assessments and mitigation strategies for development projects.
- Handle environmental litigation matters, including disputes related to contamination, land use, and natural resource damages.
- Draft and negotiate agreements pertaining to environmental issues, such as remediation agreements and environmental insurance policies.
- Stay abreast of developments in environmental laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels to provide proactive legal guidance to clients.
- Collaborate with other practice areas within the firm, such as real estate, corporate, and litigation, to address environmental issues in a comprehensive manner.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New Jersey bar is required; candidates with admission to another state bar must be willing to waive into the New Jersey bar.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing environmental law, with a strong background in regulatory, transactional, and litigation matters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to clients and stakeholders.
- Outstanding academic credentials, including high academic achievements in law school.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently and effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in legal work.
- Commitment to professional development and staying current with evolving environmental laws and regulations.
