Southern Industrial is seeking a Crane Operator with current NCCCO TLL certification to work out of our Columbia, SC office on various jobsites in the surrounding area.
NCCCO for fixed & swing preferred, but fixed cab is required.Must be willing to travel within NC/SC/GA.The primary function of this position is to independently perform lifts and picks utilizing the following types of cranes but not limited toLink-belt, Grove, Liebherr, All terrain and hydraulic truck cranes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIESComplete JSA's and lift plans.Review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with PPE requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
Perform all necessary safety checks on the equipment per procedures & policy.Perform inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
Operate cranes in a safe manner.
Operate 190 tonMay operate Hydraulic and All Terrain Cranes.
Maintain logbook, ELD's and comply with Hours of Service and all other DOT requirements for CDL drivers.
Collaborate with Riggers and Truck Drivers to hoist materials and or loads through Radio or visual signals and other communication.
Regular attendance is required.Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTSClass B CDL is a minimum, Class A CDL preferred.
NCCCO Certification TLL and TSS (Service Trucks).Minimum 5 years of verifiable experience operating cranes.
Clean driving record.
Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
Minimal overnight travel may be required.
