- Provide sign language interpretation services for a designated elementary student during classroom instruction, activities, and school events.
- Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, and peers to ensure an inclusive and effective learning environment.
- Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa accurately and effectively.
- Assist in the preparation of instructional materials as needed to support the students learning.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of interpreting.
- Collaborate with school staff and special education teams to support the student's individual education plan (IEP) goals.
- Participate in team meetings, IEP meetings, and professional development as required.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong interpreting skills.
- Certification in sign language interpretation preferred.
- Experience working in an educational setting, particularly with elementary-aged students, is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, staff, and parents.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with hearing impairments.

Soliant Education is seeking a skilled and dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to join our team for the 24/25 school year in the Rocklin, CA area. This is a part-time, onsite position working 30 hours per week, providing 1 on 1 support to an elementary school student.
