    Overview:

    School Age Associate Program Director

    The YMCA is seeking a School Age Associate Program Director. This position requires someone who has energy, a positive mind set and strong leadership skills to supervise, teach, nurture and encourage our staff and kiddos with a balance of empathy, accountability, role modeling and hands-on work.

You can speak eloquently to parents and administrative staff and have the skills to send a child into a fit of giggles.

    Year-round, full-time Monday-Friday hours vary from 6:15am-6pm position continues through summer as full-time day camp site director.

    Salary range is $20-25/hour based on experience and availability. This position is year-round, full-time Monday-Friday, and hours vary during the school year from 6:15am-6pm. Positions continue 40 hours a week through summer, at one of our 15+ Day Camp Locations. We will work with you to determine the best fit for summer camp.

    Responsibilities:

    Duties:

    • Works with Program Directors to manage, direct and coordinate program areas, ensure high quality programs and establish new program activities.
    • Is the on call director each morning at 5:30am.
    • Floats to all programs in Loveland, Johnstown, and Berthoud in the afternoons.
    • Trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as needed. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
    • Assures compliance with state and local regulations as they relate to program areas. Ensures that YMCA program standards are met, and safety procedures followed.
    • Informs Program Director of needed upkeep of assigned program facilities and equipment and ensures the physical environment supports safety practices aligning with YMCA, Health Department and CDHS standards.
    • Develops and maintains relationships with school administration. Checks in weekly with office staff to communicate any updates or concerns.
    • With support of Program Director, provides staff leadership for annual fund-raising campaign. Represents the YMCA and participates in association special events.
    • Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:

    Requirements to apply for this Director Level State Licensed position:

    • 21 years or older.
    • Supply documentation of current certification or become certified in CPR and First Aid. We can assist with this.
    • AND have at least one of the following
      • A four-year degree in a related field OR
      • 48 semester hours of college credit AND 910 hours of experience in a licensed program since turning 18 OR
      • 5,640 hours of experience working directly with school-age children with a group of 4 or more unrelated school age children.

    Posted Salary Range:
    USD $ USD $25.00 /Hr.
