Key Responsibilities
An individual in this role should be adept at handling the essential duties and responsibilities outlined below. Reasonable adjustments can be made to assist individuals with disabilities in performing these tasks.

  • Conducting regular maintenance on paint line ovens, high-temperature hot water (HTHW) systems, wastewater treatment, and related equipment, which may involve inspections, installations, cleaning, and other necessary functions to support production.
  • Identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical issues and breakdowns.
  • Collaborating with maintenance and production colleagues to complete maintenance and repair tasks safely and promptly.
  • Inspecting and verifying any equipment repairs or modifications carried out by others.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair activities for cross-shift communication and the Maintenance Manager.
  • Providing necessary documentation to comply with State and Federal record-keeping requirements.
  • Performing roll grinding to rectify paint roll defects.
  • Establishing and following a preventive maintenance schedule for all EDCOAT, LLC equipment and systems to minimize malfunctions and breakdowns.
  • Overseeing wastewater treatment operations.
  • Conducting housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Assisting in the packaging of finished goods when necessary.
  • Undertaking any other assigned duties.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Working with enthusiasm and a sense of urgency.
  • Capable of thriving in both team-oriented and independent work settings.
  • Skilled at multitasking in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • At least 3 years of prior maintenance experience.
  • Previous exposure to manufacturing processes and equipment maintenance.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift (from floor to waist level), push, and pull objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Capability to stand and walk extensively on concrete surfaces with regular bending, stooping, or sitting.

Work Environment Details

  • EDCOAT follows a 14-day rotational schedule with four crews to facilitate around-the-clock operations.
  • A/B (Day Shift) 4am-4pm
  • C/D (Night Shift) 4pm-4am
  • Employees work 12-hour shifts following a 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off pattern.
  • Flexibility to work overtime when required.
