- Lead and guide the Operations Engineering team in driving Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) efforts throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Develop strategies for both domestic and international manufacturing operations.
- Supervise the creation and enhancement of work and test instructions to ensure safety, efficiency, and product quality.
- Collaborate with different teams to achieve project goals and resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Oversee engineering change orders (ECO) and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead design and optimization of assembly and test fixtures.
- Ensure accurate product data management using PLM software.
- Drive process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Participate in design reviews and prototype builds during the development phase.
- Support process qualifications and capability studies.
- Travel domestically and up to 15% internationally to work with manufacturers and suppliers.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in an electromechanical manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software and PLM tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in lean manufacturing processes and change control systems.
- Knowledge of production best practices such as LEAN, Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma.
- Experience with Linux-based PCs and 3D CAD software is a plus.
