**Responsibilities:**
Issue purchase orders to procure high quality goods and services in the most cost effective manner for on time delivery.
Review purchase orders for accuracy and completeness and obtain proper approvals as needed
Proactively monitor vendor order confirmations, ship dates, and tracking information.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding order revisions, damage claims, rejections, and losses, return of materials, over-shipment, cancellations, and specification changes
Ensure that the vendor pricing is in alignment with the terms and conditions defined in the MSA while ensuring the best quality, delivery schedule, and freight costs.
Coordinate with internal sales/customer service to ensure delivery schedules meet customer commitments.
Familiarize with basic product specifications related to purchasing orders.
Interact regularly with the Warehouse department to resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and incoming shipments.
Work with Accounting on discrepancies between POs and vendor invoices.
Solve order-related problems and communicate with Purchasing Manager on a timely basis.
Other tasks as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.
**Qualifications:**
Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience in a purchasing related field; 5 years preferred
Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Suite
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking, the ability to self-manage
**Good to have:**
Experience with purchasing electronic mechanical parts preferred
Experience with Netsuite or other purchasing/ERP systems preferred
