INSTRUCTIONAL COACH - MATH FOCUS for the School Year:

The Instructional Coach, reporting to the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, plays a crucial role in supporting classroom teachers to enhance instructional practices and elevate student achievement throughout the district.

This district level position involves coaching teachers in diagnosing student needs, and planning for and implementing best practices to meet those needs.

Key responsibilities include conducting teacher observations, leading staff development, modeling instructional strategies, coordinating state and local assessments, and ensuring program compliance.


Instructional Coaches will work with all district teachers with a particular focus on teachers in the induction program as well as teachers who are on teaching permits (e.g., STSP, PIP).

Collaboration with district and site administrators is essential to ensure that all teachers receive the necessary training and tools for effective instruction, fostering student engagement and learning.

Instructional Coaches provide ongoing training to both teachers and administrators on instructional best practices to ensure continuous improvement in teaching quality across the district.

Additionally, the role entails coordinating state and local assessments (e.g., ELPAC, CAASPP, Advanced Placement, etc.)

  • Single Subject Teaching Credential
  • Mathematics

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to foster positive relationships with teachers and staff

Position and Compensation Overview:

Salary Range: $58,160 - $113,629

  • Up to 12 years of experience offered
- $7,500 signing bonus
